What would happen if my move is 10 frames and yours 15 but my game is running at 60fps and yours at 144? A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mess. You need a consistent and stable environment to build this infrastructure so everyone needs to have the game running at the same speed. In simple terms moves with less animation frames are faster and outprioritize slower ones, etc. Thanks No it's because fighting games gameplay revolves entirely around frame data. So in other word because the majority of players could only play at 60fps they se it to be the cap for fair play ? Now I agree the anti-aliasing is bad, but I wouldn't say graphics are overall poor, so you can solve that problem through supersampling. However, everything is still updated at 60fps.Īnd if you want better graphics, you can edit Engine.ini to use supersampling, since the in-game settings don't allow for internal resolutions beyond the specified output resolution. Now the animations is another topic, since they're manually animated at a framerate lower than 60fps. So in that regard I doubt you can unlock the framerate.
